- 9. Project Description/Overview
- To improve the infrastructure in areas of town where it is known to be deficient as well as to provide for safe and reliable sewer collection in one of the more This project will serve to replace a portion of the existing failing and inadequate infrastructure within the city limits of Pass Christian. The existing infrastructure was constructed during the 1950's and 1960's and is still comprised of outdated and undersized material that has been repaired numerous times through the years. With the increase in activity in development activity in these areas, due to continued efforts to rebuild post-Hurricane Katrina, upgrades to existing fiber optic infrastructure, gas service and industrial activity due to an upswing in the economy, the city has been experiencing frequent failures in the aging infrastructure that was not replaced after federally declared disasters. The new infrastructure will help to maintain adequate services for the industrial and business growth in the area. This project will also serve to improve the function

- To provide a safe and reliable municipal infrastructure in one of the more growing and industrialized areas of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, in an effort to provide better services eliminate the potential for contamination of adjacent surface waters and marsh.
