The Hancock County Utility Authority (HANCUA) is requesting funding for an infrastructure project for improvements and upgrades to the Bay St. Louis - Cedar Point wastewater pumping station, located south of Felicity Street and east of Hollywood Boulevard. The pump station serves the Cedar Point area of Bay St. Louis. The pump station is in need of replacement of structures and components, renovations and upgrades. The proposed improvements consist of installation of a new concrete wet well, with a depth of approximately 20 feet, a minimum of two (2) new submersible pumps with increased capacity, a new concrete valve vault with new valves, flow meter, electrical upgrades, associated piping and site work.
10. Project Goals/Objectives
1. Provide reliable and sufficient wastewater pumping to transport all existing and future wastewater flows generated from the Cedar Point area for treatment at the Hancock County Southern Regional wastewater treatment facility, 2. Lessen the probability of environmental impacts to surrounding streams, bayous and the Bay of St. Louis resulting from potential raw wastewater discharges.
11. Which of the following authorized uses set forth in the GOMESA Act does this project fall under?
