- Funding for this project would provide for boat launch and boardwalk improvements at the Hansboro Boat Launch which is also referred to as James Hill Park as they are joined together. This project would improve the existing boat launch and wooden boardwalk throughout the park. The James Hill/Hansboro Park provides amenities such as a boat launch, boardwalk, tennis and basketball court, playground, pavilion, and plenty of green space.

- -Improve widely used waterfront facilities by providing easy access to the facilities for all individuals -Provide safe access to the area's coastal waters for recreational purposes -Promote tourist attraction to the Gulf Coast by providing safe waterfront amenities for recreational purposes -Enhance public safety and expand opportunities for access to these facilities
